Hey!

We are QAI (pronounced ‘kai’), an indie-pop band based in Trinec (CZ). We (Tomasz and Pavel) got together in 2017 and started our music journey with the first single called I’m Trying. And because we are more marathoners than sprinters, we released our debut EP Fastgoing in autumn 2021. We put it together with Danish producer Esben Svane, who besides us has also worked with Lake Malawi or Ewa Farna. Our EP features the track Friends, which has made it onto several editorial playlists on Spotify.

Since 2022 QAI is no longer just Tomasz Wałach (vocals and guitars) and Pavel Pilch (drums), but the band is complete thanks to our best friends – Vlastimil Škoda (bass) and Krystian Danel (electric guitar). In this line-up we put together our experience from previous bands (Noemiracles, Charlie Straight, Lake Malawi, Nebe, Mirai of Point of Few). We searched for our authentic sound, started touring around the Czech Republic and…
